The Assembly of Afghan Scholars and Specialists, based on these very values and universally accepted principles , including human rights, citizenship rights, freedom of expression, and other human values, was established in 2013 as an academic, scientific, and research-based, non-political, non-profit, and independent institution. Its goal is to use the outcomes of scientific research to promote sustainable peace and to find solutions to Afghanistan’s pressing political, social, economic, and cultural challenges. Since its establishment, the Assembly has organized numerous conferences, seminars, and academic meetings both in Afghanistan and abroad. It is officially registered in Spain (Madrid) with the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Justice of Afghanistan and is recognized by the EU Think Tank branch, operating in accordance with its approved statute. Our working approach focuses on strengthening scientific research by Afghan scholars both inside and outside the country, promoting civic awareness, and contributing to the creation of an effective and practical education system in Afghanistan. The philosophy and core objectives of the Assembly are grounded in the belief that knowledge and science are the torchlights guiding nations toward progress and success. Therefore, the organization seeks to unite Afghan scholars and experts who, due to coups, internal conflicts, foreign interventions, political crises, and other unfortunate events over the past five decades, have migrated to various countries around the world. Fortunately, today a large number of sincere, patriotic, and reputable scholars and experts from within and outside Afghanistan have joined the Assembly’s scientific commissions in the fields of law, politics, culture, economy, agriculture, health, and other key sectors. From the very beginning, the Assembly’s national vision and stance have been based on the belief that the only viable solution to Afghanistan’s crisis lies in dialogue and national understanding, constructive, academic, and inclusive dialogue that respects the religious, cultural, and social values of the Afghan people, aligns with international standards, and fosters positive engagement with neighboring and regional countries, the United Nations, the European Union, the United States, and other nations. Such comprehensive dialogue can pave the way for Afghanistan’s reintegration into the international community. Accordingly, we consider ourselves aligned with the United Nations’ mission and objectives, and we firmly believe that dialogue, interaction, and mutual understanding are the only paths toward resolving Afghanistan’s challenges.
